I believe Dr. Eric Berg has a video where he says if we take Melatonin it will train our bodies to not make melatonin. He suggests we take tryptophan instead. I’m wondering if you have any thoughts on this? Thank you for making such informative videos!!

I am so grateful for finding this channel!!!!
Im 55 and started HRT a few months ago. However, the progesterone/prometrium (100mg) made me exceptionally suicidal and extremely lethargic. Can you speak about this at all? Also, do women who still have a uterus need progesterone when taking HRT to protect against uterine cancer?
Thank you for all your information!!

I struggle to drift off to sleep and there are nights that I have pretty bad insomnia and overall I'm probably not getting more than 5 to 6 hours of sleep on a "good night".
Do you do all of these supplements every night?! Just to get to sleep?
Even though I don't have my periods anymore, my doctor said I should take only 100 mg of progesterone per night. But I'm going to ask her if I can do 200 per night.
    I also take .5 Estradiol patch 2x/week
My doctor has prescribed me gabapentin to help me sleep but I'm nervous to start it because I've heard horror stories about getting off of it or becoming too used to it or it having addictive properties.
There are some nights that I only get 3 hours of sleep and my insomnia is terrible!
I'll be seeing a sleep doctor in September, but I really need something in the meantime.
I've used an extended release Melatonin, and I felt drunk the entire next day (I was even nervous to drive!) and it was awful so I'm nervous to ever try that again.
But I'm just curious if you're taking all of those things together at night just so that you're able to sleep?

Yes, please do a video on Rx sleep meds. I took Ambien for 6 years and while I LOVED the deep sleep I got from it, I didn’t like the memory issues I started to have. I have been off of that for going on 6 years in March thanks to CBD and a very low dose of melatonin (too much gives me a hangover affect and headaches), but there are nights where I still have trouble. Thanks for all of this info!

I'm almost 63 yrs old and have never done any hormone replacement therapy. I'm outside of that 10-year window that I've heard is safe to start BIHT. Is it safe for me to take the progesterone you mentioned, for sleep issues? I'd like your opinion. Thanks for all your videos. This one was so needed by many of us!

I am 57 and post menopausal. I also get BioTE Hormone Replacement Therapy and it’s great!!! Plus I take Progesterone at night.
My family and I take CBD gummies at night for sleep and I may take one during the day if needed to relax.
I read that 5HTP should not be taken long term, not more than a year?
And I also read that you shouldn’t take CBD with other sleep aids?

Dr Susan, ive had a hysterectomy 2015 talked with my GYN today after listening to your videos, and I have use just a little estrogen, cream or estradiol cream. When speaking to my GYN today, I did ask for the patch I asked first about to testosterone! And progesterone she stated she didn’t want to give me progesterone because I’ve had a hysterectomy so now I’m confused I thought it was OK and even better to take progesterone with estrogen and testosterone even not having a uterus. Please advise I guess I need a better understanding of this.

Dr. Susan, what are your thoughts on the Emeritus progesterone cream that comes from yams? Can I use that instead of taking it orally? Will it work as well for my insomnia I do take a one to one CBD to THC. I have my medical marijuana license and where I buy it from is checked to make sure that it’s pure and has no additives nor solvents. I was taking melatonin, and then I started to read some very negative reviews about the dangers of taking it. So, I quit. I even saw a video by Dr. Dray where she says that using skin care that has melatonin is very good. I really would appreciate your reply to this. I have been suffering with insomnia since I had my hysterectomy when I was 42 years old. I am now 82 and I don’t know if it’s safe for me to start HRT therapy. Has the effects of not having Estrogen in my body for 40 years make it irresistible?
Thank you so much for your help. I am considering booking a consultation with you. I do live in Tampa Florida, so I would have to do it by telehealth.

Should I look into a different route taking prometrium ? I am currently using CBN gummies and they work very well , CBD does not work for me it would be awesome for oral progesterone to work for my insomnia but I might need to take a different route , vaginally ? If you are an unfortunate person who lives near where someone has started growing hemp for CBD, you will be forced to smell a very strong skunk odor during the beautiful days of spring, summer, and fall. No one needs CBD and growing it ruins the quality of life and property values of neighbors.

    • @DeeannaBurns
      @DeeannaBurns Год назад +2

Many people absolutely benefit from CBD for many health reasons. Sorry for your issues with the odor of your neighboring grower, though.
